Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders. Our programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education and learn the value of service.

Hudson High School Service Learning                
Started in 1998, the Hudson High School Service Learning Program is a model for Ohio's Department of Education.
 
Service Learning is a unique course that combines the disciplines of Social Studies and English with an application in service to the community. It is through the volunteer work that students receive a "hands on" experience of what the academic component has been focusing on through in-depth research projects and real world experience. The volunteer site experience also gives students the rare opportunity to develop relationships with diverse professionals who further enhance their personal and education development. The course enables students to realize the need for volunteers locally, in neighboring communities and at a state and national level.

4-Way Test Speech Contest                              
Students from Hudson High School and Western Reserve Academy compete in a multi stage speech contest that offers cash and scholarship prizes! The top students compete at a Rotary Club Meeting and the winning student competes at the District Competition (52 Clubs).

The Scouts in Hudson were presented with a distinctive meeting place in 1931 when the Hudson Rotary Club built the Cabin on the southwest quadrant of the Green as the club's earliest service project.

The Rotary Club of Hudson is proud to assist the aquatic staff with pool opening Spring cleaning of the facility. In addition, the Hudson Rotary Foundation awarded a grant for the on site AED.

Our staff members are experienced and trained in receiving reports of abuse or misconduct that involves youth, and each situation will be handled with care and confidentiality.
