Who Are We?

Rotarians are members of Rotary clubs in communities across the world, which belong to the global association Rotary International (RI). Each club elects its own officers and enjoys considerable autonomy within the framework of Rotary’s constitution and by-laws.

The Rotary Club of Hudson was founded in 1930, 25 years after the very first Rotary club in 1905. Hudson Rotary, (Club #3542) is a group of men and women who support the international mission and who are also joined together by a common interest in service to their own local community - a sincere desire to give back.

Our club is made up of more than 55 members. Through immense membership participation we have provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to help raise awareness for Polio and participate in dozens of service projects each year to help people on both a local and international level.

Service Focus/Get Involved

The Rotary Club of Hudson offers a variety of opportunities for you to contribute your talents, expertise and perspective to enact positive change in the greater Hudson area and beyond.

Our annual Gala will celebrate its 33nd year in 2017. Through this fun and exciting event, we have raised funds to build water wells in Africa, save the lives of children through heart surgery, provided developmentally disabled children with special equipment and fund a new vehicle for the Hudson Fire Department. These are just a few examples of how our Gala project has contributed to make a better world.

Some of our other areas of service are:

  • Hudson’s Art-on-the-Green
  • Annual Memorial Day parade
  • Grade School writing project
  • Boy Scout Troop 321
  • Hudson High’s Service Learning Class
  • Relay for Life
  • Santa on the Green visit
  • Red Kettle bell for the Salvation Army
  • Earth Day
  • Bob’s Bikes

The Rotary Club of Hudson has funded a scholarship program for students in the Hudson School District since 1951. Additionally, Our Club participates in Rotary’s Four-Way Test Speech Contest by hosting a speech competition for area high school students who are afforded a chance at cash prizes and to proceed to a district level.

The Rotary Club of Hudson welcomes all men and women who share its goals and aspirations. Since 1930, The Rotary Club of Hudson has built a legacy of community service and leadership locally and worldwide. Through effective projects, our members use their talents and expertise to address social issues in ways others cannot.

Join us for breakfast and see how leaders from countries, cultures and occupations around the world take action to enhance health, empower youth, promote peace and improve their communities.
