Santa on the Green, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hudson, is a long standing tradition in Hudson started over 45 years ago. Last year more than 350 children visited with Santa assisted by numerous Rotarians who enjoyed the celebration as much as the parents and children.
The event takes place on the Gazebo Green where Santa arrives via fire engine at 9 a.m. The Gazebo provides a great setting for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and Hudson’s Restaurant helps keep everyone warm with hot chocolate. Candy canes will be provided, too.
To avoid long lines, a ticket system has been established that will allow Santa to chat with 20 families an hour for a total of 120 visits during the six hour period of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets will be available at 8:00 a.m. by the Gazebo where families will be given a time to get in line for their scheduled Santa visit. This process helps families avoid long lines and enjoy being in downtown Hudson for the holidays.
