Santa on the Green returns again this year continuing a Hudson tradition started over 45 years ago. The Rotary Club of Hudson has presented this much anticipated holiday event since 2001 initially lead by the legendary Jimmy Sutphin, beloved former Hudson citizen. In past years more than 350 children visited with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves with numerous Rotarians assisting with the celebration. It is always an exciting time for kids and photo snapping parents.

To avoid long lines, a ticket system has been established for Santa to be able to chat with 20 families per hour for a total of 120 visits during the six hour period from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are available at 8 a.m. by the Gazebo where visitors will be given a specific time to get in line for Santa. This helps to avoid long lines and allows families to enjoy the festivities and their visit with Santa.

Hot chocolate will be supplied by Hudson’s Restaurant and there will be candy canes for all. Come join in the holiday spirit and experience the excitement starting with Santa’s arrival by fire truck at 9 a.m.
