This Wednesday, February 7th, we will be celebrating our 2023-2024 year of Creating Hope in the World. Thank you to Tom Tobin for engaging our speakers during Focus on Youth Month.
Our Rotary Club has sponsored Scout Troop 321 since our early days as a Rotary club. This is one of the more popular meetings of our year and you never know what we will learn. Past speakers have taught us camp songs and the associated hand signs, shared jokes and told us of winter and summer camping experiences. We've had little guys and Eagle Scouts present and it is always interessting and funny. They will be accompanied by their parents and Scout Leadership.

Past Meeting
Nicholas B. Pleat, DO FACP, board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology, spoke to us about the changing face of cancer. He spoke of the advancements in treatment of childhood leukemias that have greatly improved the life expectancy of our youngest patients. He also spoke of the futility to find a solution for those suffering from pancreatic cancer. Treatment and testing change over time--specifically in the field of prostate cancer. It was a very interesting, data-filled presentation and worth taking a second look on our YouTube Channel.
