This Wednesday, February 8th, we will be continuing our year of Imagine-Rotary. This will begin our month of topics focusing on Youth. Thank you to Joe Avella for securing such interesting speakers.
Andy Morse and the leadership and Scouts of Troop 321 and Pack 3221 will join us as we celebrate the 113th birthday of Scouting. Founded in London in 1910, this is the official birthday of Scouting. It has been declared as National Boy Scout Day to honor those who are trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

February 8: Club Board of Director's Meeting
All meetings will be held immediately following the general session and any active Rotarian is invited to attend.
In February, we will be collecting donations to benefit Safer Futures-Portage County. Safer Futures is the only shelter and resource center providing support, information, and advocacy to those affected by intimate partner violence in Portage County. Here's what they need: Cleaning Supplies--Any and all--Spray bottle type Lysol, white vinegar, paper towels, toilet cleaner, etc. And as always, cash is helpful!
Past Meetings
Moses Wang, HHS Chinese studies teacher introduced Kayli Rego a student who made an impressive presentation of her involvements and Asian advocacies. She is president of the Asia Youth organization and an intern for Asia spending 20 hrs a week promoting the Asian experience. Kayli pointed out that hate crimes directed at Asian people in the USA have increased 339% since the start of the Covid pandemic. She has been lobbying the State legislature and participated in a unity March in DC to support Asian Pacific peoples. She was also President of the “Dear Asian Youth” day at HHS where she also sponsored a “You Belong” forum for Asian students. Kayli plans to attend college in the DC area to pursue her interest in advocacy projects. So impressive and well spoken!!
