This Wednesday, January 24th, we will be celebrating our 2023-2024 year of Creating Hope in the World. Thank you to Jim Ahern for engaging our speakers during Health and Wellness Month. We're taking a reprieve this week to put a spotlight on the HHS Service Learning Program History and Government programs.
Marty Bach and Brittany Amiet teach History and Government as part of the integrated, award-winning program Service Learning at Hudson High School. Our Rotarry Club has been a financial and participaant partner of this program since its inception. Mr. Bach has been teaching at Hudson High School since 2001. Mr. Bach teaches Advanced Placement United States History. Ms. Amiet is a 2012 graduate of the University of Akron and has taaught at Hudson High School since 2015. She also teaches AP Economics and World History.

Kelli Harvey, RN, BSN, Lisa Horning, RN, BSN, and Jodi Helderman, RN, BSN are employees of Summa Employee Health and gave us an overview the work they do supporting small and large businesses in Summit County. They help coordinate everything from Health and Wellness Events to Drug and Alcohol Screening and Prevention Training. They have resources to support Mental Health, too. It was a very informative presentation with something to take home for everyone.
...Marilyn Orr won a whopping $7 payout of the 50/50 raffle but pulled a clear marble. The big jackpot continues to grow!
...This month President Terri is leading a drive to collect socks and gloves for the Haven of Rest. It is so cold this week, the need is very high. Please help if you can!
...SAVE THE DATE: The Rotary 38th Annual Gala will be held on Friday May 17th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg. The beneficiaries for the event will be NEO Gift of Life, Hudson City Schools and the Safety Town Project being led by the Hudson Preschool Parents Association.
