Personalized Genomics for Cancer Treatment

After completing her PhD in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology and Biochemistry at Boston University in Jan, 2012, Dr. Meaghan Russsell began a private sector career searching for innovative ways to change the way that cancer treatment is approached.  Her educational path was rigorous and the role of mentors, advocates and family support cannot be understated.  The American Cancer Society reported this week that cancer mortality declined by a record 2.4% in 2018 and 31% since the 1991 peak.  Credit better and earlier diagnostics, therapies and a decline in smoking.
