Apollo's Fire Baroque Orchestra

Founded in 1992 by Jeanette Sorrell, Apollo's Fire has found a home in Cleveland and Chicago for passionate musicianship of baroque music performed on period instruments.  For more than 30 years, Apollo's Fire has offered concerts at Summit County venues as well as locations throughout Cleveland..  In 2004, Ms. Sorrell launched a popular multi-cultural/folk wing of Apollo's Fire (specializing in  Celtic, Appalachian and Sephardic Music) that is very popular.  The group has been an active touring group appearing at Carnegie Hall, BBC PROMSn (London), and numerous other international and US venues.  Apollo's Fire was awarded a Grammy Award in 2019 for their recording of Orpheus.  The group also supports education and family programming and have frequently performed at the Hudon Library..  

Nicole Fehrmann is Director of Community Outreach.   She is a graduate of the University of Dayton and has been employed by Apollo's Fire since 2022.
