Upcoming Meetings

March 4 Club Board of Director's Meeting immediately following the general meeting.  All active Rotarians are invited to attend.

March 15  Gala Committee Meeting, Hudson Community Foundation Board Room, Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Past Meeting

AV specialist Noah Price with Superintendent Dana Addis.  Noah is multi-talented.  Not only is he a top student in his class at HHS, he placed 3rd in the Wrestling Sectional and has advanced to the Regionals.  Superintendent Addis reviewed the Portrait of an Explorer which encourages our children to be engaged collaborators, empathetic contributors, adaptive problem solvers, ethical citizens, lifelong learners and critical thinkers.  This mantra is shared with all students from elementary through high school.  With the younger children, the message begins with a challenge to think of ways that "I can..."  We are very, very proud of our work with the HHS Service Learning Class.  Jamie Kosmin, Lindsey, Violet and Brittany Amiet.  Both students have siblings who have participated in Service Learning or will be in the 2024-2025.  Can you tell that it was "Hawaiian Day" at HHS?

...The 4-Way Speech contest is coming up soon and Jim Ahern is again leading our efforts.  Judges will be needed to select the two speakers from each high school that will advance to the club level speech contest.  Please consider being a school judge.  It's a wonderful experience and the students are trying hard to master their craft.
...Ralph Day won the Rotabuck Raffle but the big payout is still remaining to be claimed.
...Donations this month will be made to Grace House located in Akron. This is a small facility that provides hospice care for those who have no caregiver.  What they really need are gift cards to any local grocery stores so they can replenish their pantry.  They are also in need of postage stamps and cash.
